Gustavo Vargas

I was born in Lima Peru and my family came to the United States as lawful permanent residents.  I became a naturalized citizen when I turned 18.  I earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and economics and an MBA in finance and marketing (both from Old Dominion University In Virginia) and my law degree from Florida State University.

I have been practicing immigration law since 1997 and since then my practice has been exclusively devoted to Immigration and Nationality law.   I am
admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, Florida Supreme Court, and the 11th Circuit as well as admitted to the Virginia Bar.  I am a member in Good Standing of both the Florida and the Virginia Bar. The reason we focus only on immigration law is that is one of the most complex areas of law and one that is constantly changing.  We believe we can serve our clients in a professional manner only if we dedicate ourselves to immigration law because this area is so complex and daunting.

Due to our commitment, we have been blessed with broad practice: We have five staff members with extensive experience in immigration law.  Our office works in the area of foreign investment and corporate related immigration law, family-related immigration law, removal/deportation, citizenship, appellate work, and complex immigration matters.

We have also litigated cases in the federal courts and in the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.  As a result of this broad and deep experience, I have the honor being one of 47 attorneys in the entire state of Florida to hold the designation of “Bar Certified in Immigration and Nationality Law.”  This designation is earned through a combination of peer review, references, background verifications, documented experience and a rigorous round of tests.
